Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress, best recognized for her roles in films as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film as well as television. She started acting on stage and went onto appear in independent, mainstream as well as television shows. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. The BET's epic show The Book of Negroes she appeared. Not only did she get praise from critics for her character, she did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. Her career began as an actress in 1995 when she played Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. With regards to her career in movies the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
